Reverse PDF Page Order

Flip a PDF's page order end to end. Free, and runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded, stored or sent to a server.

About Reverse Pages

Last page first. One button, because the situation it fixes is always the same: a document-feeder scanner that took the stack face-up, or a fax-era workflow that produced everything backwards, and now forty pages are in the wrong order.

The pages are copied into a new document in reverse order rather than rearranged in place, so nothing is re-rendered and nothing loses quality. What does not survive is anything that pointed at a page by number — bookmarks and internal links now point somewhere else, which is the one thing to check before sending it on.

Where it helps

  • Nothing is re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
  • One click rather than dragging forty thumbnails in an organiser.
  • The preview shows the result, so it can be checked before it is saved.
  • The document stays in your browser.

Limits

  • Bookmarks and internal links are not rewritten, so anything that pointed at a page by number now points at a different one.
  • It reverses the whole document; reversing a range means splitting it out first.
  • Form fields and annotations move with their pages, but a document with a filled form is worth checking afterwards.
  • Password-protected files must be unlocked first.

Frequently asked questions

Does this lose any quality?

No. The pages are copied wholesale into a new document — the same objects, in the opposite order. Nothing is rasterised or re-encoded.

Can I reverse only part of the document?

Not in one step. Split the range out, reverse it, and merge it back — or use the organiser, which moves individual pages.

What happens to my bookmarks?

They survive as entries but point at the page number they always did, which is now a different page. A document that depends on its bookmarks needs them rebuilt after a reverse.

My scanner produced two files, odds and evens. Can this help?

Reverse the one that came out backwards, then interleave the two. That second step is what the alternate-merge job is for; merging them end to end will not do it.
